With dance floors around the world set alight by the infectious joy and expression of their music, the Sledge sisters became a household name and enduring symbol of unity with their 1979 global breakthrough We Are Family. The iconic album and its title track helped define a generation and cemented Sister Sledge as one of the most influential vocal groups of all time.
Renowned for their multi‑lead vocal harmony, Sister Sledge are responsible for some of the greatest dance anthems in music history. Songs like “Lost in Music,” “He’s the Greatest Dancer,” and “Thinking of You” are universally cherished, bringing people together through love, life, and undeniable soulful groove. Their career has been marked by numerous Gold and Platinum records, as well as multiple GRAMMY nominations.
Over the years, Sister Sledge have performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including London’s Royal Albert Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall, the White House in Washington, DC, the legendary Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival, and in front of Pope Francis at the World Meeting of Families in their hometown of Philadelphia.

Led by founding member Debbie Sledge under her vocal direction, and guided by the musical brilliance of Director Dominic Amato, the group continues to honor the past while bringing a fresh, energized future to the stage. Backed by an ensemble of exceptionally talented musicians, they have firmly earned their place in the entertainment world as something truly “Sledgendary.”
Specializing in bringing the party, the current lineup features Debbie Sledge, Camille Sledge, Tanya Ti‑et, Thaddeus Sledge, and David Sledge. Together, they create a joyful, funky family affair built around the classic hits fans know and love.
In 2022, the Sledge family released FREE, their first single as a collective in nearly 20 years. In 2023 and beyond, they continue to spread the Sledgendary message that nothing is greater than love, delivering music that uplifts, celebrates life, and unites generations through rhythm, soul, and joy.
