The art scene is one of many attractions to the Scottsdale area, and vacationers booking a room at Talking Stick Resort this February will get to enjoy the works of many local and national artists at the Greater Phoenix Jewish Film Festival. Running February 12-26, the event is a great chance to experience the multicultural nature of the state and enjoy the work of some fine auteurs.

This year's event, the 16th in its history, will feature a lineup of 11 internationally acclaimed films that cover various aspects of Jewish life, culture, humor and drama, according to the festival's website. In addition to the films that will be screened at venues across the region, the event also features a wealth of meetings, conferences and informational seminars from some of the biggest names in film.

There will also be several events leading up to this year's proceedings, including a Q&A session with noted film director Bryan Singer. Singer, who has helmed a number of big movies like the Usual Suspects, X-Men and Valkyrie, will be speaking about his experiences as a Jewish director at the Chandler Center for the Arts on January 14th.
